Dear Pittsburgh Tango Community,

We have been following the information that has been unfolding daily in regards to COVID-19. Because the updates are rapidly changing the nature of the COVID-19 situation, this is being handled with sensitivity and as the situation progresses.

PGH Tango Connection is suspending all events until further notice. That includes classes, Milongas, Practicas, and upcoming workshops with Gaby and Ines. Our hope is to restart activities in April, as long as it is safe. Private lessons with Chewy and Yulia are still available.

For those individuals who made deposits for the workshops and prepaid for March sessions, we will be contacting you with the information on reimbursements.

We are joining the efforts with the worldwide tango community. While social distance is recommended by health officials as one of the more effective measures for fighting the spread, it’s important, now more than ever, to practice self-care and mindfulness for ourselves and compassion and understanding for others:

  • “Every hand that we don’t shake must become a phone call that we place”.

  • “Every embrace that we avoid must become a verbal expression of warmth and concern”.

  • “Every inch and every foot that we physically place between ourselves and another, must become a thought as to how we might be of help to that other, should the need arise.”

 -Rabbi Yosef Kanefsky

Sincerely,

Koichiro, Yulia & Sofia
